London Mayoral Hustings

Registration is closed for this event
In the run up to elections for the London Mayor on May 5th LVSC is holding a hustings with invitations to the candidates to respond to the LVSC manifesto and to outline their vision and priorities for working with Londons VCSE sector

London has over 60,000 Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations whose collective action makes London the diverse and wonderful place it is in addition to the jobs it creates, safeguards and the wider contribution made to the economy. Yet the VCSE has hardly featured in the election, nor does it merit a GLA strategy or plan of action in its own right. LVSC seeks to address this missed opportunity by its advocacy as articulated in its manifesto with six key asks for wider engagement, development of a VCSE plan, a focus on equalities implementation, improved outcomes aorund commissioning, access to private sector philanthropy and support to harness digital tech. At this event, hosted jointly with London Met University we will hear from the parties and their candidates to hear about their response to these asks and wider sector concerns
